The new AI applications like ChatGPT have added further dimensions to the almost infinite possibilities of the internet. With the development of AI technology, we now have the ability to not only search for information, but also to provide instructions to AI so that it can learn and create on our behalf.

However, despite the potential benefits of AI, mainstream media often portrays this helpful technology as a source of dystopian nightmares. Unfortunately, instead of considering the possibilities and potential prosperity that a tireless and infinitely scalable AI-helper could bring to the world, many discussions surrounding AI focus on worst-case scenarios of job loss and societal destruction.

While it’s important to consider potential negative outcomes of AI, it’s also crucial to embrace creativity and positive visions for the future. Rather than fearing job loss and societal destruction, we should imagine a world where AI-helpers take on the hard work, freeing humans to enjoy more meaningful interactions and pursuits.

Many people cling to existing structures and believe that if machines become smarter, they will inevitably replace humans and cause widespread unemployment. However, it’s important to remember that machines have been replacing human labor in various industries for decades, and this has not always resulted in negative consequences. Jobs in manufacturing and processing, for example, have shifted from human labor to machines, but this did not necessarily lead to joblessness.
